1. Right click on the speaker on the lower right-side of your system tray.
2. Choose "Sounds" from the menu
3. Click on the "Playback" tab
4. Right click on the top sound device and choose "Properties" (your list of sound devices will be different than the image below)
5. Click on the "Advanced" tab
6. On the "Advanced" tab uncheck the box next to the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" item. When the box is unchecked click "Ok"
7. Repeat steps 4-6 for each of the device on the "Playback" tab
8. Click to the "Recording" tab
9. Repeat steps 4-6 for each device on the "Recording" tab
10. When Exclusive Control has been disabled for each device click "Ok" to exit the Sound dialogue window then restart your PC.
