If/when you find an audio file in Dalet that is 32bit you can do the following to fix it:
- Step 1
- Click and drag the audio file from the Dalet browser to your local PC desktop. Note that the resulting file will have the back-end system name, and not the name from the database.
- Step 2
- Convert the file with the application of choice (either Bill’s drop and convert tool or open in a third party application, such as iTunes or Audacity).

- Step 3
- Convert the file.

- Step 4
- In Dalet, open the corrupted file in OneCut. The segment will not draw properly or play, but this is okay. Click on the segment bar then delete (remove) that segment.

- Step 5
- Click and drag the fixed audio from your desktop into the OneCut session. The wave form should draw properly and the audio should play.

- Step 6
- Save the cut in OneCut. The audio should now be good to go.

- Step 7
- You can now delete the original and converted audio files from your PC desktop.
(technically the original wasn’t 32bit, which is why you see a wave form, but the process was successfully performed with the 32bit files fromm the BBC).
