The MoTu Microbook IIc audio device works well for recording phone calls at your desk. However, occasionally the audio settings for recording in Dalet can be switched around/cause issues--especially when docking/undocking your laptop.
Before recording a phone call you should ensure that Dalet is listening to the proper input channel. For most common configurations you should choose the middle input of the three MoTu Microbook ASIO options. Check this by clicking on the small triangle at the bottom left of your OneCut client:
Click on the "In" tab
Choose the middle of the three " MOTU MicroBook ASIO" options. Note that the numbers (.E. 7&8) may be different on your workstation. This should be consistent, so you may want to note this on a post-it or other location around your work space.
If you do not see the MOTU MicroBook options in your input list you may need to cycle the MoTo connection to your laptop.
First, unplug the USB cable to the MicroBook device
Let the device sit unplugged for a few moments, then plug it back in. You'll see the lights cycle briefly. When the two green lights are fully illuminated it should be fully powered:
Next, run the "Restart Dalet Service" tool on your desktop. Note that this WILL shutdown your Dalet client/OneCut session, so be sure all your work is saved before clicking "Ok"
When your Dalet Service is fully restarted open your Dalet Client/OneCut and confirm that the middle MicroBook ASIO option is selected. You should be good to go for phone recording. If you still do not see the MicroBook ASIO input options please contact DaletHelp@mpr.org or the ICC for further assistance.
